(map) Ever imagine you’d be looking down on The Oasis? Well, with the third floor now open at this Lake Travis brewpub, you can do just that. The final part of the panoramic restaurant expansion out here, Uncle Billy’s third floor is for drinking, snacking, enjoying live music, and playing pool. Oh, and of course, sunset-watching.
The third floor serves only appetizers, like queso, wings, BBQ sliders, and the Red Neck Roadkill, above. These are Uncle Billy’s Brew & Que version of nachos, and they are awesome. They fry their own crispy potato chips, then cover them in melted cheese, pico de gallo, avocado and chopped smoky beef brisket. If the jalapenos aren’t hot enough, there’s some killer habanero sauce in that red bottle.
Six different beers are always on tap, micro-brewed fresh in tanks right behind the bar. This is the Bottle Rocket Lager, and for $6 both beer and glass are yours.
There’s a large outside deck for toasting the sunset. On weekends, bands will play both inside and out. Meanwhile, construction continues on Oasis, Texas, with a five-story office building and 30 retail spaces planned. More info on that here.
