(map) Next time you’re tooling along the 290 Wine Trail toward Fredericksburg, be sure to stop by this cute new place. The Pink Pig is a bakery and cafe located in a group of historic 1800’s-era log cabins. It’s crammed with goodies to buy as well as goodies to eat – like cookies, brownies and scones. The cafe serves creative takes on salads, burgers and sandwiches made with house-baked focaccia bread.

Not only is the bread baked in-house, but they make their own potato chips and pickles, too. There’s a bakery counter where you can pick up brownies, fresh scones, cinnamon rolls and candies. Also for sale: t-shirts, hats and a variety of pig-related merchandise. Pig out!
