(map) Yes, we know it’s a chain, but it’s a kolache chain. This actually got started in Houston in the ’80s, and now a franchisee has just opened his third location in Austin at the Four Points. They make their own dough from scratch fresh daily, and it tastes out of this world.
Warm, soft kolaches come in a variety of sweet or savory flavors. That’s cherry and blueberry, above, and the Texas Hot Polish sausage below. There are some out-of-the-ordinary flavors, too, like Philly cheese steak and Italian chicken.
Open seven days a week till 2 pm, and there’s a drive-thru as well as a walk-up window.
