(map) Thai Spice recently moved into a bright, airy space that better showcases its flair with fresh ingredients like Thai chiles, garlic, cilantro and veggies. The menu offers standards like Pad Thai and Tom Kha soup, plus green, yellow and red curries, as well as some more unusual items (and you can always order that soup in a literally blazing firepot for extra adrenalin). Above, the Larb Salad, juxtaposing chicken minced with Thai chiles and fish sauce with cool, crunchy cucumber. You roll the chicken up kind of like a lettuce taco.

The Pad Kee features broad, chewy rice noodles tossed with veggies like tomato, bamboo, broccoli in a spicy, garlicky sauce. By the way, all the servings here are enormous, so plan on either sharing or bringing the deliciousness home.

There are several fried-rice choices on the menu, but a popular one is the Basil Fried Rice, above. You get your choice of protein – this one is beef. The dish is redolent with garlic, cilantro, basil and, to bring the heat, jalapenos. One of the most popular dishes here is the Sizzling Plate – chicken, beef or pork, served sizzling like fajitas. Proof that it’s a small world after all?
