Bending Branch Tannat, gold-medal winner at the 2014 Dallas Morning News - TEXSOM International Wine Competition

Lately, Texas wines are on a gold rush, winning 11 gold medals at the 2014 Dallas Morning News TEXSOM International Wine Competition. Lest you think there was a local bias, 55 judges tasted 2,729 wines from 27 states and 20 foreign countries. That’s a lot of vino! Members of the Texas Fine Wines group (Bending Branch, Brennan and Duchman) won four gold medals. Lewis Wines, Stone House, Messina Hof, Spicewood Vineyards, Haak and Eden Hill also won gold.
