Sista’s Shaved Ice

UPDATE: closed (map) She’s back! This is Beverly’s fourth year at the Four Points. The competition may be heating up, with two other stands opening farther south along Highway 620. But with the help of her friendly niece Porche, she’s serving up the cold, tasty treats that are still the best way to beat this Texas heat.

There are dozens of flavors, including sugar-free options. Beverly says the most popular is Tiger’s Blood, a sweet-tart combo of strawberry, watermelon and coconut.

The stand has been moved back from the road, allowing more room for parking and for shaded tables to enjoy your treats.

Ginger opted for a mix of strawberry and cream soda, a blend she says her brother came up with.

Sista’s is open every day from 3 to 8.

If it’s the same place, she is on a property near Cameron Rd just north of Ferguson and south of Rundberg. Not sure if that is her only location or not. The place is always closed when I go by during the weekdays.

Ed. Reply: Thanks for the update, Tim! That’s kind of an odd location, but she (Beverly is her name; she named the stand for her sister) only had the one booth, so that must be it. We will have to drive by on a weekend and check it out. We all miss her!

Hi everyone, I’ve been ill, but I am doing better now. Tried to open last summer, but my sickness took over. Will be opening this spring, hopefully, Easter weekend. Come on over and see us. We are at 9101 Cameron Rd., between Ferguson and Rundberg Lane. Look forward to seeing you….

Ed. Reply: Great news! Welcome back, Beverly! Looking forward to the new Sista’s.
