7 May 2010The good news is that Rosie’s shrimp enchiladas are incredibly good. The bad news is, they only have them every once in a while. So if you’re really hungry for them, better call ahead. Rosie’s Tamale House is one of the original, if not the original, Tex-Mex places out in Bee Cave. My parents started bringing us here in the 70s, and fortunately, it seems like nothing’s changed since.
The enchiladas were filled with pretty-good-sized shrimp and chopped onions, then covered with a bright, tangy tomatillo sauce and lots of Mexican white cheese. A piquant and tasty change of pace from our usual Willie’s Plate of beef taco, beef enchilada, queso, and guac. But hey, that’s good, too!
