30 Dec 2011(map) More food-trailer love rolls out West! Rockin Rolls just moved from East Austin to share their made-from-scratch grub served on fresh-baked “gourmet rolls.” Whimsical names like the James Hetfield, Axl Rose and Ozzy’s Bat Blood Red Kool Aid disguise some serious kitchen talent.
Rolls come from Sweetish Hill Bakery, and are topped with goodies like this bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Served with a spicy, homemade ketchup, it’s one delicious sammie, especially for $6.50. The Janis Joplin features tender pot roast topped with mashed potatoes; the Joan Jett, roasted turkey with cornbread stuffing and gravy. As food trailers go, this one rocks! Note: they’re closed now for New Year’s, re-opening Jan. 3.

Definitely a trailer worth hitting. These guys truly love what they’re doing and it shows! Be sure to talk to the boys, they are a really fun.
