(map) This Saturday the 22nd, the 13 wineries on the Wine Road 290 Trail (between Fredericksburg and Johnson City) are throwing a fun, Mardi Gras-themed event. Top local chefs are creating dishes pairing tastes of Texas wines with Texas Gulf shrimp. There’ll be shrimp gumbo, shrimp Creole, shrimp and sausage jambalaya, blackened shrimp tacos and more.
