(UPDATE: closed) Just in time for the spring sunshine, Bountiful in Bee Cave has opened their new patio. The other day, it made a cool spot to enjoy their Fried Green Tomato & Bacon Panini. They dip green-tomato slices in cornmeal batter and crisp-fry them. Then, they’re layered with bacon, cheddar and swiss cheeses on herbed wheat-berry bread and grilled. Yum! That’s a side of mixed greens with raspberry vinaigrette.
The pet-friendly patio seats up to 50 people and, eventually, will be festooned with climbing roses. They plan to make it available for birthday parties, bridal and baby showers. It’s covered, so in the heat of summer, you’ll still have it made in the shade.
Mr. Woo likes patios. And bacon.
