New Year’s Eve Celebrations

Buffets and fireworks. Live music and special menus. Glasses of bubbly for toasting. We’ve got all the elements out West for a great New Year’s Eve. Below, a list of all the goings-on, with links to more info. Let us know if there’s something we missed. Cheers!

Fore Lakeway. Party favors, champagne, bottle service and chef’s charcuterie in the bar, 9 to midnight, $75-125. Regular dinner service available. Free champagne toast at midnight.

Steiner Steakhouse. Live music, chef’s specials, fireworks display and complimentary champagne toast at midnight.

Hudson’s on the Bend. Two tasting menus to choose from: a chef tasting menu with paired wines, $175, or five “extravagant” courses with choices, $100.

Artisan Bistro. “Belle Epoque” theme, with prizes for best costume. Champagne reception at 7:30, four-course dinner at 8, champagne toast after, $110.

The Oasis on Lake Travis. Two New Year’s Eve performances by The Eggmen, 5 and 9 pm, $8-15. Selected menu available, as well as special three-course menu with choices including beef tenderloin.

Barton Creek Resort. Two dinner options and a fun celebration for kids. A formal, four-course plated meal with a dance floor and live band from 7 to 1, $135. Or a five-station buffet including prime rib and seared redfish and featuring a live magician and DJ from 6 to 9, $49. For kids: ice skating, laser tag, video games, buffet and sparkling cider toast at midnight, $75.

Lakeway Resort and Spa. Dine lakeside in the elegant Masterson’s Steakhouse from 5 to 11. Three-course menu including prime filet and lobster tail, with champagne toast, $75.

Poodie’s Hilltop Roadhouse. Performance at 10:30 by blues artist W.C. Clark, $10. Colton Cerny & The Trespassers open.

Luckenbach Texas. Bo Porter picker’s circle from 5 to 9. Then party with Drew Womack: champagne, midnight tacos, black-eyed peas, party favors, shuttle service. Reserved seating, $60.

Cho Sushi. Live DJ from 10 to 1 am in Lakeway, complimentary champagne toast. Food and drink specials, with four-course dinner from 5 to 10, with champagne, sake or wine, $65. Additional menu items available from 10 to 1 am.

Chisos Grill. Regular dinner menu, along with live honky-tonk music by Frank Cavitt, no cover.

Travaasa Austin. Four courses with choices, including wagyu ribeye and lobster risotto, plus live music, truffles and champagne toast, and gourmet s’mores station by the fire pits, $65.

Lake Travis Wine Trader. Annual “New York State of Mind” celebration, with buffet including pork tenderloin, complimentary glass of wine, champagne toast, and party favors, $65.

Gumbo’s Bee Cave. Regular menu plus specials including steak and lobster, live music, complimentary bottle of champagne for each table, from 3 to 12:30.

The Dig Pub. Toga Party, no cover, dance music, party favors, champagne at midnight.

The Barber Shop. Live music, 7 to midnight, drink specials, door prizes, midnight toast, no cover.

 Austin Aquarium. Family-friendly event, with live music, non-alcoholic beverages, hors d’oeuvres, party favors, 8-12:30, $15.

Grille at Rough Hollow. Four-course menu with choices including filet mignon and lobster tail, champagne toast, $75 per person, $125 with wine pairings.

Great post on New Year’s events in the Austin area! I think we’ll try out one of the restaurants.
