New Patio at Vivo

(UPDATE: closed) I’ve posted previously about Vivo’s dark, arty and mysteriously exotic interior here. The sunny, colorful patio outside couldn’t be more different. It’s filled with plants and flowers, and rather than the techno music playing inside, diners enjoy the musical sounds of water falling in the fountain. The deck is built around huge oak trees festively wrapped in lights. It’s as stylish and contemporary as the inside, but as Calm as the inside is Happening.

This Crab Ceviche Cocktail had chunks of fresh crab mixed with chopped red onion and serrano peppers. Creamy ripe avocado and chopped tomatoes were the perfect accents.

Their variety of Ritas are a specialty at Vivo. They’ve got cucumber, hibiscus, De Oro, La Vida, and lots more to choose from.

The Emma’s Choice Combo lets you customize your meal. This one features a puffy taco filled with picadillo beef, a chicken enchilada in “vegetarian sauce” (jalapenos and toasted Mexican spices).

All the ladies get roses at the end of the meal.
