(map) Verde’s Mexican Parilla established its reputation with the grill (see a previous review here), and has branched out into brunch. Six brunch dishes plus Mimosas and Micheladas out on the lively patio make this place a festive choice on Sunday mornings. Above, the Fajita Omelet, one of the best we’ve ever eaten. The texture of the eggs is delicate, not rubbery. The inside is filled with chopped fajitas and melted monterey jack. That’s topped with an incredible tomatillo-pesto queso that’s all creamy-spicy deliciousness. Served with crisp-roasted potatoes and tortillas.
The Steak and Eggs is a small, perfectly marinated fajita steak topped with two fried eggs and a fresh-tasting ranchero sauce. The sauce was almost like a thick, fresh tomato soup. Crunchy tortilla strips married well with the creaminess of the eggs.
Verde’s has a big outdoor patio overlooking a huge yard where kids (big and small) can run and play. Music is always playing on the patio and they sometimes have live shows out there as well.
