(map) If the name Dzintra sounds familiar, it’s because this Austinite was a finalist on “The Next Food Network Star.” Tomorrow, the Paris-trained chef opens her new place for weekday lunches. (You can find this week’s menu here.) Dzintra’s emphasis is on fresh, seasonal and healthy ingredients. Her ever-changing, three-item menu will always include a soup, a salad and a sandwich. Above, the shrimp spring-roll salad: shrimp, cilantro and avocado rolled in rice paper and served with a tangy cilantro-jalapeno dipping sauce.

Spicy beef and lamb sliders are served on a toasted brioche roll with mango-pineapple chutney, topped with jalapeno-lime aioli.

Fresh arugula salad is tossed with avocado, corn and tomatoes and topped with slices of grilled portobello mushroom and shaved parmesan.

Sous-chef Katie takes a quick break from prepping to answer questions. The decor feels contemporary but warm, with booths, tables and a bar centered around a big cooking space. Dzintra plans to give cooking classes here at night, as well as occasional supper-club dinners.

The restaurant looks fabulous.Lovely clean lines but still cozy.The food ……….irresistible.
