18 Jan 2010Los Pinos is one of those throwbacks to the 70’s that just keeps keeping on. It’s a small, hole-in-the-wall kind of place with wood paneling and Saltillo tile – just the sort of laid-back atmosphere I like at breakfast. One of their specialties is Huevos Caribenos: Two eggs over easy with ranchero sauce, ham and black beans over a crisp tortilla. Those are fried plantains on the side. They’ve also got pancakes and breakfast tacos (one with avocado, yum!). Aguas frescas and horchata, too. When the weather warms up, there’s a cute little rock-walled outdoor patio.
