(map) This new, improved market just expanded from Lakeway Commons to the Lowe’s at the Shops at the Galleria. Good move! Not only are there more parking spots, but the list of vendors is bigger and growing (ha!) every week. Sunday mornings from 10 to 2 (thank you for those later hours, by the way), you’ll find organic produce, grass-fed lamb, award-winning pickles, and much more.
The legendary bakers from Baguette et Chocolat are on hand with fresh croissants, baguettes, sourdough loaves and more. Their goodies go fast! Below, Pogue Mahone Pickles just won a national food award for their jalapeno-mint pickles. They have samples on hand so you can taste their unique products, “sold ice cold to maintain maximum crunch and deliciousness.”
Romaine, chard and lettuces go fast, especially from aquaponics rockstar HannaLeigh Farm. Growing in water, these leafy gems stay super-clean and fresh. That’s chard from Johnson’s Backyard Garden, below.
I O Ranch sells the best grass-fed lamb you’ll ever taste (see a review of their lamb burgers here). There are also booths offering cuts of bison or beef.
Buddha’s Brew Kombucha is locally brewed in Oak Hill. You can buy it in their bottles or bring your own to save a bit. Flavors vary with the seasons, but they say they’ll always have the spicy Ginger and the popular Pineapple Super Greens. Handmade Gourmet Texas Pasta, below, is another popular booth. The fun starts again this Sunday, so don’t miss out!

I would like to thank, not only the Bee Cave and Lakeway community but, the whole West Austin area for supporting this new market so well.Since the move three week ago, it has gone from 30 to 50 vendors, and attracting more quality farmers, ranchers, and artisans, all the time. This is “your market” west Austin. Keep up the good work.

I was disappointed to see that the Farmer’s Market was not open today. You were missed.
Ed. Reply: If you “like” them on Facebook, you can keep up with all the updates! They had posted they would be closed on Easter, and yes, we missed them, too.
