(map) Drippin’s newest culinary venture just opened in the former Cafe 131 with an impressive menu of salads, plates, paninis, po-boys and sandwiches. They aim to feature fresh and local when possible, as in this Texas Wagyu burger. A hefty 1/3-pound, it boasts a smoky, chargrilled flavor, as well as your choice of cheese and “the works.”
Most dishes come with your choice of sides, which are made in-house. Above, the fried chicken, crispy with panko bread crumbs, along with cream gravy and the house-made mac ‘n cheese. The menu offers a number of intriguing dishes, like the Buffalo Yardbird (chicken with hot sauce and bleu cheese crumbles), smoked pimento grilled cheese, and the Mercer Street panini (pesto, fresh mozzarella, tomato and grilled eggplant on foccacia).
The dining room offers comfy leather chairs and lots of cozy “homespun” touches here and there. Drinks are served in mason jars. There’s a full bar, along with lots of local beers and wine.
