Hill Country Lavender Farm

(map) This has to be one of the most heavenly smelling places in Texas! Open on weekends until July 14th, this was a cut-your-own place until the drought last year. Now, while they let the field come back, you can shop for freshly harvested seeds, all kinds of soaps, oils and plants, or just sit backĀ with a cool lavender lemonade under the oaks.

The rustic shop is filled with all things lavender: seeds, soaps, essential oils, sachets, pillows, linen sprays, teas, artworks and more.

Three varieties of plants are available, along with advice on how and where to grow. You can get a chair massage in the shade, or just relax and enjoy a glass of iced lavender lemonade. A blooming great idea!

Even the port-a-potties are lavender.
