Fat Belly Bavarian Pretzels

These German treats have just started appearing out here. Local baker Lisa says that the name refers to a certain style of pretzel with thin “arms” and a plump, full middle. She bakes them fresh every day so they’re always soft and chewy. Available in four flavors: plain salted, mustard and cracked pepper, jalapeno-cheddar, and asiago-prosciutto, above.
