Cho Sushi

The friendly sushi chefs at Cho celebrate their grand opening. It’s exciting to have a new sushi place nearby, especially one with such an excellent pedigree. David Cho, the owner, was Executive Chef at Kenichi downtown for five years, and you can tell he really knows his stuff. His menu combines traditional and “new age” sushi, along with other dishes like Japanese Ribeye and Chilean Sea Bass.

The fish here is glistening, impeccably fresh and well prepared. At happy hour from 3-7, you can get sushi pairs like these for just $3. Sake, wine and beer specials, too.

Cho offers 19 different rolls, from the usual to the unusual. Some of the exotic creations above include the Bentley, tuna with seared beef, and the Steiner Ranch, smoked salmon and cream cheese with sliced strawberries. Wow!

Not a laid-back temple of sushi worship, Cho is a high-energy, family-friendly place.

I ate at Cho the day after their grand opening celebration. It was amazing and David Cho was very helpful recommending and explaining his food/drink. I will definitely frequent this place and recommend it to everyone I know.
