(map) If the name Dzintra seems familiar, it may be because she was a finalist on “The Next Food Network Star.” (You can read more about her place here.) She’s just launched Sunday brunch, and it’s fantastic. Eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, pancakes and French toast, and the “Picnic in the Park,” above. It’s a toasted bagel loaded with the silkiest New Zealand salmon. Cream cheese and heirloom tomatoes round out the plate.
The day’s special was this tower of jalapeno-corn cakes, savory and filled with fresh corn kernels and finely chopped jalapeno. They’re topped with slices of New Zealand salmon and a soft, poached Vital Farms egg. Heirloom tomatoes brightened up the rich cakes and smoked salmon. Sundays from 10 to 3, it’s a great brunch addition to Bee Cave!
