Brunch at Iguana Grill

(map) Green Eggs & Ham, anyone? For all of you who feel like starting the weekend off right, the Iguana serves brunch on both Saturday and Sunday. You can relax on the covered patio and enjoy a great view of what’s left of the lake, along with dishes like Eggs Poblano. They say this is the Mexican version of Eggs Benedict, and it is delish. Toasted bread is layered with cheese, ham and fried eggs. Then it’s topped with a spicy, poblano-cream sauce Dr. Seuss would no doubt approve of.

Calling all cheese-lovers! Chilaquiles in Salsa Verde consist of a baked-chicken casserole made with lots of green salsa and covered in cheese and sour cream. It’s kind of like an incredibly rich, shredded chicken hash. You can also order migas or huevos rancheros, or any of the Iguana’s usual weekday lunch dishes.

It’s hot outside, but the large covered patio keeps things surprisingly cool with a lot of big fans and misters. Brunch is served from 11 to 2.
