Breakfast at Flores Mexican Restaurant

Flores’ two locations out West are super-popular, packed at lunch and dinner. A more relaxing time to eat here is at breakfast on the weekends. They serve it Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 3. You’ll find classics like migas, above, eggs scrambled with tomatoes, bell pepper, onion and two kinds of cheese. They’re served with fried potatoes that are crispy outside, soft and moist inside. With the sound system playing pop tunes, it’s a mellow way to ease into your day.

Flores’ Huevos Rancheros give you a choice of eggs scrambled or fried. They’re topped with an eye-wateringly spicy but delicious ranchero sauce. If you want something more mainstream, they’ve also got eggs and pancakes.

Friends, couples, and families continuously drop in to the dining room or the outdoor patio, but it’s nowhere near as hectic as at night.

Yum, those huevos look amazing – I’m going to have to learn how to make ranchero sauce.
