Bountiful Bakery & Cafe

(UPDATE – closed) A super-cute place, all girly-pink inside with chandeliers and painted tables. Their menu lists tons of sandwiches (Fried Green Tomato & Bacon with green-goddess dressing won’t leave my head), plus salads and a daily blue-plate special. Thursday’s special was Chicken & Dumplings with a side salad & iced tea for $9.29. The dumplings tasted exactly like homemade: creamy and melting on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The café also has ready-made entrees to take home and heat, like mac & cheese, or roasted pork tenderloin on cheesy mashed potatoes. And seriously, Sunday’s all-you-can-eat fried-chicken buffet? I can eat a lot of fried chicken, Bountiful.

Yes, the blue-plate special is actually served on a blue plate.

We just had the fried mac ‘n cheese at Angel’s – I have it in an upcoming post. I will have to try the Bountiful version, thanks!
