Bee Cave Dog Park

This place had really gone to the dogs (sorry, couldn’t help it!). But now, it looks gorgeous. It’s just re-opened after almost two months of renovations, with lots of green grass for your pooch to run around on, and no more muddy areas to get stuck in. Find more pics here, along with the address:

The park is big enough to get plenty of exercise. There's a double gate so dogs can't accidentally escape while entering or exiting.

Erin and Adria take a break in the shade of the shelter. Several benches are there to hold you and your stuff.

There's a dispenser on hand with free bags to scoop the poop and keep the park clean.

If the dogs get thirsty running around, there's a "doggie drinking fountain" with fresh water over by the entrance.

The Dog Park is at the intersection of RR 620 S & Bee Cave Parkway.

I was just there yesterday, 4/23/2012 and it looks nothing like this now. The entire middle section is nothing but dirt and basically a muddy water-filled drainage area deep enough for a dog to swim in. There was a sign on the gate that said “closed for maintenance”

Ed. Reply: Yikes! Thanks for letting us know and let’s hope they fix it soon!

We saw the Bee Cave Dog Park people at the Bites of Bee Cave event! Would love to get in touch with them further about my pet sitting services. I offer in home pet sitting services, as many daily visits as needed and overnight options. Can you get me in touch with the coordinator for these type of things? I gave her my business card and wanted to follow up. Thanks in advance!
