(map) Banh mi fans, rejoice! No longer do you have to trek up to far North Lamar for this Vietnamese sandwich treat. Simply Pho House just opened in the former Blue Bamboo location with a side cafe serving banh mi and bubble teas. Above, the Banh Mi Thit Nguoi, featuring pate, pork roll and special roasted pork on a crispy baguette. There are four others on the menu, all $5 or less.

The dining room hasn’t changed much from the former Blue Bamboo. The Boba tearoom is to the right. Below, one of the bubble teas. This one is mango, with chunks of mango and basil seeds. You can also get fruit slushies, and add cream, tapioca and a variety of seeds or jellies.

Hi all,

I am the new owner of the restaurant. I really appreciate your posting our new Boba Tea and Banh Mi on this site. I am very pleased to make a sample of any drink you desire at my place. I am working on more special slushies and smoothies as well and I will customize the drink per your favorite fruit or flavor. My tea is brewed fresh daily, combined with chia seeds, basil seeds or fresh fruit. All ingredients are ordered from reliable Taiwanese Bubble Tea Supplier in California.

I would like to bring more authentic Vietnamese Cuisine to Bee Cave, Lakeway, Steiner Ranch and surroundings… I have new chef from Dallas this week, he used to be a cook at PFChang… More special dinner dishes will be served very soon.

Again, thank you very much for your support. I appreciate your feedback!

More info will be available at http://www.simplyphohouse.com or thebobatea.com
I can be reached anytime at 512-263-8889 or 512-300-9816

Regards,
Lo-Ann

I tried Banh Mi a while back and I can say as someone who has been to Vietnam on numerous occasions – it’s definitely legit.
