18 Feb 2010Tapas, or small plates, are a fun way to share food with friends and savor a little bit of a lot of different things. And now tapas are on the menu out here, thanks to Chef Rodolfo of Ate. By day, a cool cafe serving gourmet salads and sandwiches like the croque monsieur and “the little pig,” by night (to continue, click here)Chef Rodolfo dishes up his authentic take on classic tapas: shrimp in garlic sauce, tortilla espanola (potato omelet), albondigas (homemade meatballs), mussels in white wine, manchego cheese, amazing crusty bread they bake themselves….The list goes on and on, which is how we ended up ordering the entire menu (well, most of it). Toast your hosts with a couple of glasses of wine, and, for a moment, you’ll swear you’re in Barcelona.
